About Scott:
My braiding career began at age 6. One day my dad was at the barn working a young horse and I asked him when he was going to teach me how to braid, he told me to find some bailing twine and then proceeded to show me the process of braiding three strands. I was instantly hooked, and so began my lifelong love of braiding and creating.
As I got older and became a full time braider people would reach out and ask questions about how they could also get started braiding. Information available at that time was extremely limited so I began filming video courses from what we call “the braiders eye view” – a perspective that would have helped me when first starting out. Education and preservation of Western Crafts has become a passion of mine through the creating of these resources. I love teaching and seeing people reach their goals while finding their own love of braiding.
In recognition of my dedication to the craft, I achieved the distinction of becoming a Master Level Braider in the IFOLG organization, an honor that reflects both the skill and commitment I have invested in this art form.
