Tooling stone, bevelers(extra steep and standard), mallet or maul, swivel knife, strop, background matting stamp(craftool A104, A98 or similar),favorite backgrounding stamp, modeling balls(small to medium sizes), modeling spoon(small), bone folder, exacto knife with #11 scalpel blades.
About Travis:
Based in Gatesville, Texas, Travis Coddington is a full-time leather craftsman known for precise tooling and meticulous attention to detail. After retiring from a career as a steamfitter, he dedicated himself completely to mastering traditional leatherwork techniques. His path into the craft began with heirloom pieces from his grandfather, including work from legendary leather artist Al Stohlman, which inspired him to pursue the craft seriously.
His work has quickly gained recognition, including 2025 IFoLG Masters Division Champion and Best in Category, Waco Hot Show 2025 winner, Lone Star Leather Crafters Guild 2025 winner, and 4th Place in the world leather debut in Sheridan. He is passionate about helping other leatherworkers refine their technique and elevate the quality of their tooling.
